Supplemental Insurance and Disability Insurance

As we are all individuals with our own special needs and wants it is important to have choices that we feel will benefit us.  Empower your associates to choose what supplemental insurance plan may be best for them.  Supplemental Insurance helps reduce the impact of financial burdens in case of a serious accident or illness.  These plans are available on a per person basis and not everyone needs to apply for the same plans.  The employee makes a choice as to which plans they feel are a value to them and which plans they can afford to purchase.  Some Supplemental Insurance plans do not have coordination of benefits, the benefit may be paid to the policy holder not the medical institution, portable and renewable for life.  These plans are individually underwritten and not everyone may qualify for all Supplemental Insurance plans.

 

Disability Insurance

Short Term Disability Insurance is a source of income protection in case one is not able to work due to an accident or illness not related to occupational illnesses or injuries.  The employee chooses the benefit period and the elimination period, the monthly benefit is subject to income requirements and benefit period restrictions.  Personal Disability Income protection is available to qualified individuals thru an employer sponsored plan and it is elected and funded by the employee themselves.

 

Accident Insurance

Personal Accident Insurance plans are available to help with costs that stem from a covered accident.  Medical insurance pays the doctors, hospitals, etc., but who pays the deductible, co-payments and other related expenses not covered by the medical plan?  Some Accident Insurance plans have Emergency Treatment, Follow-up Treatment, Hospital Confinement, Intensive Care Confinement, Ambulance Benefit, Physical Therapy, Surgical Benefit and much more.  Personal Accident Insurance is available to qualified individuals thru an employer sponsored plan and it is elected and funded by the employee themselves. Some of these plans do not have coordination of benefits, the benefit may be paid to the policy holder not the medical institution so they can choose to pay these extra expenses with the plan benefits received.  These plans may be portable and renewable for life.

 

Cancer Insurance

Personal Cancer Insurance plans are designed to help offset the high cost of cancer care that may not be paid for by medical insurance policies, deductibles, co-payments and other non-medical related expenses.  Some plans may include a First Occurrence Benefit,  Hospital Confinement Benefit, Radiation and Chemotherapy Benefit, Experimental Cancer Treatment Benefit, Immunotherapy Benefit, Nursing Services Benefit, Skin Cancer Surgery Benefit, Reconstructive Surgery Benefit, Bone Marrow Transplantation Benefit, Stem Cell Transplantation Benefit, Extended-Care Facility Benefit, Hospice Benefit, Home Health Care Benefit and much more.
